Hoffman Car Wash has committed to developing the next generation of leaders within our industry. We need individuals ready to grow as Hoffman Car Wash expands its footprint through New York State and beyond.

The MIT program (which we like to call it) provides opportunities for personal and professional growth. It’s designed to give participants the skills and knowledge they need to take on and succeed in leadership roles.

Anyone, both external candidates and current employees, who is interested in becoming part of our management team may apply for consideration to be included in this focused 4 month training program that includes:

  • Hands on training with veteran managers
  • In field maintenance experience
  • Classroom training (including homework)
  • Job shadowing with Human Resources, Finance, IT, Customer Care Team and our District Managers

At the conclusion of the training program graduates will be given the opportunity to assume up to an assistant management level position.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Application and Interview Process:

  • Complete a Job application in UltiPro and attach a resume
  • Submit a cover letter and address your reasons for applying for the program, what you hope to take away from the program and how this program could support your personal and professional goals
  • Internal candidates, based on application and cover letter you may be called for an in-person interview. If you are invited for an in-person interview we will require a letter of recommendation from your direct manager.  
  • 4/Cohort
  • Number of cohorts and number of accepted candidates will be at the discretion of management
  • 16 Weeks 
  • 90 days hands-on training in the stores 
  • 14 days with Maintenance Team
  • Job shadowing with Customer Service Team, IT, and Finance/HR/Support Staff/District Managers

Classroom Training includes: 

  • Team Leader Boot Camp 
  • Leadership Academy 
  • Chemistry Course
  • Time Management
  • Public Speaking and Presentation skills 
  • Computer Training – Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Weekly follow up feedback sessions
  • Weekly Homework assignments

At the conclusion of each step – a written performance evaluation from the Training Manager is required to progress. Failure to demonstrate proficiency at each step may result in extending the training for that step or removal from the program.  If removed from the program the candidate may be returned to their previous position and pay rate, they may not be returned to their previous work location.

  • While in the program employees will be paid $22.00/hr. Final pay rate will depend on final job position.
  • When an employee “graduates” from the program they would have the potential to earn additional income based on position (increased salary/bonus etc.) 
  • When a graduate fills an open position based on the management team headcount requirements, they will be eligible for the location bonus.
